本网讯（撰稿：肖维娜）今年的国际部在发展到第 7 个年头后迎来了初一、高一的新生 100 人，以及即将升入高二和高三的学生 147 人，目前国际部在校学生总人数已达到 247 人。而我校在继 2014 年引入伦敦大学 IFP 预科项目后，又于今年引入剑桥课程，成为剑桥国际学校，开启了初高中国际课程全面开放的新局面，面对新的一年，国际部拓展教师招聘渠道，特别是外教的招聘，直接从国外网站招募资深的专业外教前来任教，而今年国际部外教人数已达十余人之多，而开学前，老师们已经早早来到学校接受培训以及制定好了自己的教学计划，同学们也信心满满地迎接新年级的学习与生活。

It is the 7th year since the International department was founded. This new academic year begins with 100 new students enrolled, 147 students are going to be higher graders, totalling up to 247 students in the International Department now. Since the IFP program was introduced to our school in 2014, our school has seen a fresh beginning and great development. The school has also introduced the IGCSE programme. It is the only IGCSE international school in Zhongshan. In this brand-new year, excellent experienced teachers, especially the foreign teachers (more than 10), have been recruited. All new teachers received training and made new teaching plans before the new academic year began. All the students feel greatly confident faced with the new term.

为了迎接新学期的到来，中山华附国际部于 9 月 4 日召开了 2015―2016 学年度开学典礼。总校校长、国际部校长刘诗雄先生、国际部副校长叶倩萍女士、吴惠鹏先生，学术主任 Charles 先生、及部分中外教出席了典礼。

The new-term(2015-2016) opening ceremony of the ZSHF International Deparment was held on 4 ^th Sept. Liu Shi Xiong, Principal of ZSHF and the International Department, Ye Qianping, Vice-principal of the International Department, Wu Huipeng, Vice-principal of the International Department, Ian Howgill, Studies Director of the International Department and both local and foreign teachers attended the ceremony.

开学典礼在国际部校长助理 Verna 的主持下进行， Verna 首先欢迎新同学的到来，特别是新学期来到中山华附进行为期一年学习的法国、意大利交换生 Aude 和 Dayana, 在得知当天为 Dayana 的生日，全体同学为她演唱了生日歌，为她送去最温馨的祝福。伦敦大学 IFP 预科高三年级的 Sharon 原子晴同学作为学生代表发言，原子晴同学在过去几个月的学习中取得了经济学、社会学和数学三科专业课全优的出色成绩，在她的发言中与大家分享了她的学习心得，让在座的同学受益匪浅。

The ceremony was hosted by Verna Shaw, Principal assistant of the International Department. After expressing her warm welcome to the freshmen, Verna introduced the exchange students Aude from France and Dayana from Italy, who will study in ZSHF in the upcoming year. Having known it was Dayana’s birthday, all the students sang a birthday song for her to give her their best wishes. Sharon (IFP 3) gave her welcome remarks and encouraged freshmen to find their best way to achieve ideal academic results as a student representative. She gained three distinctions in the subjects of Economics, Sociology and Maths last term after entering IFP program for a few months.

接下来，国际部学术主任 Charles 先生先后就国际部高中学生课程设置、教学内容、中外方任课教师、高中三年的教学大纲等方面进行了详细介绍，如希望学生 actively participate in the discussions in class, apply equally in academic and extra-curricular activities 等；并规划了重要活动，如东非乞力马扎罗探险之旅、仁爱之家和水火箭比赛等，而在本学期国际部还将逐步开展对学生进行专业升学指导等工作。

Charles introduced curriculum, teaching content and syllabus in a detailed way. “Actively participate in the discussions in class, and apply equally in academic and extra-curricular activities.” he requested. Charles presented some significant activities such as Kilimanjaro Expedition, Habitat for Humanity and Water Rocket Competition. What’s more, the department will gradually provide professional university application guidance to students for this term.

最后，由国际部副校长叶倩萍女士发言，叶倩萍副校长在讲话中表示希望同学们做好每一件小事来成就每一件大事，也希望同学们借助学校以及国际部所提供的平台实现自己的梦想。

Mrs. Ye gave the ending remarks. She encouraged student to achieve their ambition by taking every tiny step seriously. She expressed her hope that students could realize their dream with the help both the school and the department offer.

新的学期是全新的开始，国际部全体老师对同学们充满期待与信心，希望在老师们和家长的关怀下健康快乐的成长，在中山华附国际部的三年成为他们人生中最美好的时光！

New term, brand-new start. Full of expectation and faith, all the teachers hope the students will enjoy their time at ZSHF with all the care given by teachers themselves and students’ parents.
